Introduction to the Nike Air Yeezy

2 Aug 2008 In: Streetwear Fashion

Behind all the headlines regarding his musical talent and fashionista attributes, lies an extraordinarily creative individual serving as a constant reminder to me and so many others, that dedication, hard work, and hands down following your dream pays big dividends. Since Kanye West burst onto the Hip-Hop scene with the release of The College Dropout in 2004, he has been a mainstay in the industry providing hits for himself all while playing the role of producer on some of the hottest tracks in recent memory.

Expressing his artistic talents further, Mr.West set out to work on what would eventually become his signature sneaker. Combining details from his love for designer shoes, West chose a high top platform with features of various Air Jordan models including the AJIII and AJV while incorporating a bulkier tongue, fashionable patent leather mid-foot strap along with high quality textiles. To top off the design, a glow in the dark sole was added, complementing the 2008 Glow in the Dark Tour. With the help of Nike’s Innovative Kitchen over an extensive several months, all of West’s visions molded into something that would embody the artist in every way. Garnering attention since the sneakers first appearance at the 2008 Grammy Awards, there have been various rumors regarding release but as of now will remain exclusive to Kanye West in his size 12, with a release looking very dim. For further information regarding the entire design process, Sole Collector is doing a feature here.

I, myself am a big fan of Kanye West. I admire his music and especially his sense of fashion. He’s not afraid to try anything new and more importantly, doesn’t care what people have to say. I do frown upon the fact that there are no plans for the release of the Nike Air Yeezy. It’s selfish yet understandble since it’s his shoe. All I can do is wait along with the rest of the world ;).

My Best Summer Vacation!

25 Jul 2008 In: Gaming, Reviewed Sites

This summer I went to San Francisco! One reason my family and I went was to visit family and also because there’s many things to do in San Francisco. There were a handful of places to visit! Some place I went included landmarks such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Vista Point at the Golden Gate Bridge. I also visited a clothing store called HUF, it’s only located in San Francisco and they’re noted for having some of the most exclusive streetwear. If you’re in California be sure to visit San Francisco and possibly schedule a tour. Give Trusted Tours & Attractions a try, I’m sure they’ll take good care of you! They even have online travel guides! I live in Southern California, so if you’re ever down here check out things to do in Los Angeles.

According to Trusted Tours & Attractions, the top vacation spot for July is in Boston, Massachusetts. If you planning to go there be sure to check out the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

With the release of “Sly Fox” on his most recent album, it’s clear that Nas has it out for Newschannel Fox 5. Today, the hip hop artist held a press conference in New York, calling Fox a propaganda machine that regulates the news against black community leaders and hip-hop artists. With the possibility of having the first black president in the White House, the most evident case is the disparaging remarks made against the Obamas. Artist development powerhouse “Best of Both Offices” was on hand to tape the conference. A petition of 600,000 signatures was refused by Fox 5.

Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini (250GB)

23 Jul 2008 In: Tech Reviews

Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini

Small enough to snuggle comfortably inside a coat or even a suit pocket, the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini (250GB) ($129.99 direct) has received a nice capacity boost (from 160 to 250GB). Suitable for transporting and syncing data between multiple machines (laptop and home PC, or home and work PC), the OneTouch 4 Mini stands out from rivals like the Toshiba HDDR320E03X and the Western Digital My Passport Elite, thanks to a design that lets it be used for either data backup or disaster recovery. Although its disaster-recovery is only for Windows XP or Vista users with NTFS-formatted drives, the OneTouch 4 Mini is one of the best portable drives available.

This portable drive is definitely worth your money! The size is efficient and it has more than enough space to backup your computer. I wonder when iPods will reach the 250GB capacity, then that’ll be a portable drive worth buying. Assuming they enable hard disk use because now they switched to flash drives, I can’t use my iPod touch to save files. Oh well, that’s why I’ll probably be buying the OneTouch. ;)

Nike Sportswear Website

15 Jul 2008 In: Streetwear Fashion

There has been a ton of buzz and hype surrounding the upcoming Nike Sportswear collection, and now they’re teasing us with a countdown to the exact moment of their website launch, which is about 30 days away. Currently the site features a cool neon blue graphics, counting down to the millisecond.

The site also shows a few images of 2 never-before-seen Dunks. Both seem to be collaboration projects, one with hip-hop dancer, Sofia Boutella, and the other with English football player, Rio Ferdinand. Nike again proves to be the master of marketing, building anticipation to another level. You can check out the new sneakers after the jump or at Nikesportswear.com.
